SUMMER ART CAMP 2024
Summer is a really special time at The Art House. CAMPS are thoughtfully designed to give each student a joyful and memorable experience. We enter our studio Monday morning full of excitement and possibility. Every hour brings new challenges, awareness of new gifts and the joy of creative expression. Campers build lasting friendships and everyone gets a shot of confidence and a rush from seeing what a bit of hard work, engagement and persistence can achieve! Every week ends with a full out art show allowing both artists and families the chance to celebrate every artists unique gifts. Camp at The Art House is a one-of-a-kind experience.
CARNIVAL
Will your carnival be pretty and sweet, dark and mysterious or full of funny cartoons? From Calder’s circus sculptures to Picasso’s Harlequins & Toulouse Lautrec’s cardboard carnival painting… we will get inspired by wonder and fantasy. Dive into the world of still life observation, sculpting, and pattern making. This camp is all color, invention and personal expression. Craft oversized drawings bursting with life, design merry-go-round animals filled with whimsy and joy, sculpt, carve, drill and hammer. Push your boundaries!
IN THE SKY
Dragons & Flying Squirrels, Hot Air Balloons and Planes… Gaze skyward for inspiration. From the vivid patterns of hot air balloons to the graceful movements of birds and planes, we'll immerse ourselves in the wonders of the sky. Play with perspective, light, and life from a lofty vantage point exploring new ideas through charcoal sketches, large scale drawings, collage paintings and kinetic (moving) sculpture. This is the camp for kids who can spend their whole day drawing and making.
ANIMAL CITY
Do you dream of animals? Let your creativity run wild as we dive into the world of drawing, painting, sculpting, and sketching animals. From cartoons to vibrant pop art and lifelike realism, you’ll build new sketching skills and find new styles to embrace. And we're not stopping at traditional techniques. Break boundaries as we explore unconventional materials and innovative methods. This camp is for animal lovers and out-of-the-box thinkers!
